What are some smaller acts that y'all have seen live and recommend making a priority?
For me, I was very impressed with HAIM at last years GOTR Monterey Stopover as well as Cherub at Bonnaroo.
Also excited for Alt-J, Japandroids, St Lucia, Swear and Shake, Polica, Icona Pop and MS MR.

Reignwolf, Roadkill Ghost Choir, Portugal. The Man, Divine Fits and Yeasayer are all pretty killer undercard acts.

Tier three I'm looking at Fucked Up (who really at this point aren't a third tier bandin my opinion), MS MR, HAIM. I'd like to get into more of them soon. Tier two's lower end, Japandroids, Divine Fits, Deerhunter, Twin Shadow, and Holy Ghost, is pretty awesome too. It's a pretty stacked bill from top to bottom. Only one I have 0 intention of watching is Dillion Francis. Guy's set is nothing but presets and arbitrary knob turning for aesthetic value.

totally enormous extinct dinosaur. Funny story. The first night I was in Chicago for Lollapalooza last summer we were planning on going to a free show that SPIN Magazine was doing with Passion Pit, Neon Indian, and Twin Shadow. We waited on line for like 3 hours and didn't get in. So some of the other ppl we were standing on line with mentioned that Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaur was doing a free show at some bar down town as well. We decided to share a cab and when we got to the venue it had a really circusy vibe, reminded me of Webster Hall. Just alot of freaks. It was kind of weird but the bartender was friendly and gave me a free drink. After a while we start to realize the place was filled almost entirely with flamboyantly dressed guys. And a couple of them tried dancing with my bestfriend.. Well anyway, googled it on my phone and sure enough we were at a gay bar. But Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaur was good.

I've really been into Japandroids lately. They are definitely a must see undercard for me. Also enjoying Wild Nothing. Oh and Gary Clark Jr. is a must see for me as well.

wouldn't be going if these acts weren't on the bill: Icona Pop, The Knocks (saw them open for Ellie Goulding and they KILLED it), Haim, St. Lucia (amazing live), MS MR, Pacific Air, On An On

I think The XX will be closing Sunday night June 9th according to their tour schedule.

I noticed that too, which means Grizzly Bear will likely be playing that night as well.
Potential opposing acts to GnR?
On a side note, seeing the Revivalists this weekend, pretty excited!

I'm pretty sure Kanye is closing Sunday night. I'll be pretty bummed if him and the xx have opposing sets.
