I really don't see it being RHCP. Why wouldn't they have announced them already? Also, that wouldn't be very surprising at all. They were everywhere last year and are playing fests like Coachella again this summer. On facebook they wrote that they would surprise everyone. So I'm going to say NO RHCP fairly confidently.

Sound City Players is my new guess. They have 1 NYC show that went on sale post first lineup announcement and sold out really quickly. If they add Sir Paul or Reznor (even if they dont) to that lineup they could easily headline. It would make sense as to why they didn't announce it until now. It is a blast from the past. It is kinda surprising especially if they add one of the bigger contributors to the bill...seems to fit. That said, music fest logic always baffles me.

Agreed. Just my boring guess that was not de-confirmed by the powers that be. Sound City Players are looking viable. Unfortunately it looks like Stevie Nicks will be occupied in FL/GA, unless she flies up for a June 9 cameo.

No to Destiny's Child. That's not going to please the majority of the crowd, plus Kanye is already the hip hop act. Also definitely not Sound City Players, as Dave Grohl said the Hammerstein show would be it in NYC.

Would Paul Simon be a throwback? Just because he's an older act doesn't mean he hasn't played in a while or anything. maybe it if it were simon & garfunkel but I think that's way too out of nowhere unfortunately.
My guesses are beyonce/ destiny's child, justin timberlake, or maybe sound city players but most likely not. as cool as that would be. but really i'm probably wrong and know it.

There already is one (and borderline two) pop headliner(s) no way in hell there's gonna be a third. Or there might, and they'll just piss a lot of people off.

You're really going to call KOL a borderline pop band?

You're really going to call KOL a borderline pop band? Borderline? Yeah absolutely, it's not a bad thing I just mean they get a lot of radio airplay, as does Kanye.

Fair enough, they are always on the radio. In regards to picking headliners (following roo-esque rules) we have a hip-hop, and a rock/mainstream act...possibly leaving room for a more poppy live act.
Guess we will just find out tomorrow!

It would be funny if it were the Killers. Then the three headliners have all have the same first letter in its name.
